Center City Charlotte, Uptown real estate

Uptown Charlotte has been the focus much attention over the past few years. The Center City is the most vibrant neighborhood in Charlotte and offers countless condo, townhome and detached homes for sale. The Center City is divided into four neighborhoods, called Wards, that are numbered one through four.

Myers Park is a neighborhood located to the East of the Uptown and is considered by many to be one of the finest planned development neighborhoods in the country. Each tree found in Myers Park was placed strategically and now provides the setting for some of the nicest homes in Charlotte for sale.
Immediately bordering the Uptown, Wesley Heights is the only registered historic district to the West of the Uptown. This neighborhood, only a few blocks wide, provides the tree canopied streets and historic homes that are today’s rage. The first home built in Wesley Heights was constructed in 1911 although the neighborhood saw the most growth in the mid 1920’s.
Plaza-Midwood Real Estate Homes
Plaza-Midwood is a vibrant inner-city neighborhood whose rich history tells much about the neighborhood that is thriving today. Located 2 miles from the Uptown, the rich history of this neighborhood and the transformation that this neighborhood has seen over the past decades are something to truly marvel. This is a hot real estate market for bungalows.
The Historic South End (AKA Southend) is a residential and commercial neighborhood located immediately south of the Uptown. With its beginnings found in the mid 1800’s, the neighborhood was a result of the city’s first railroad line which connected Charlotte with Columbia and Charleston, SC. As time passed, the Southend developed into a bustling industrial area with mills dating back to the early 1900’s.
Dilworth Charlotte Real Estate
Dilworth is a neighborhood located just South of Uptown Charlotte located between Myers Park and Southend. Dilworth was first founded as a streetcar suburb of Charlotte by Edward Dilworth Latta in the 1890s. Since the neighborhood was thought of, at the time, as a distant suburb of the city, Latta provided a quality of life and a connectivity to attract home owners that was unparalleled--a tradition that continues to this day.
NoDa Real Estate Homes for Sale Condos
NoDa, aka The Arts District, is a historic neighborhood which found its beginning in the 1880s is located North of the Uptown. NoDa, short for North Davidson, is a popular community for artists and people with eclectic taste and an appreciation for history. Originally called North Charlotte, this community developed as a mill town centered around the employment offered in the cotton and textile mills which became abundant in the area.

Elizabeth Real Estate Homes Charlotte
The Elizabeth neighborhood is a charming community located to the East of the Center City which found its earliest beginnings in 1891. The mature tree lined streets and the pedestrian convenience of restaurants and parks make the Elizabeth Community a commonly sought-after lifestyle. Historic houses dating back to the early 1900s also attract many people to who appreciate architecture and desire established well-located communities
